About the Growing and Building Campaign
Spring Canyon Alive, the current work of Officers’ Christian Fellowship’s Growing and Building capital campaign, will carry OCF’s Conference Center Ministry to its full potential by raising $1.4 million to complete renovation and expansion at Spring Canyon—debt free.
OCF Conference centers are critical to sustaining and expanding the ministry.
They are an integral part of OCF’s outreach, providing military men and women with a place where their faith can grow in an atmosphere of community and fellowship. With this experience, they are equipped and motivated to go out and become leaders in their families and fellowships.
Because military families move frequently, they seldom put down deep roots in a community.
At the conference centers they can develop a sense of belonging they could not otherwise enjoy.
In addition to this feeling of “coming home” both of our conference centers provide a wide range of equipping programs, including summer and winter camps, marriage and family enrichment seminars, and retreats for families, ROTC and academy groups.
Limited, outdated, and aging facilities have been constraining the effectiveness of these conference centers. Much has already been done through this campaign to address these issues at Spring Canyon, including two 8-family lodges and the Hemingway Operations Building.
Now we have come to the final piece of the puzzle—an expansion and renovation of the dining room and kitchen at Spring Canyon to accommodate the increased capacity of the camp.
