Honor Fund 2017-09-20T09:44:59-06:00

What is the OCF Honor Fund?

Honor the memory of a loved one or friend, or celebrate a special occasion by making a donation to the OCF Honor Fund. Your gift will help the ministry of OCF in its work to encourage military men, women, and families around the world. When we receive your contribution in honor of another person, we will send a letter to that person or their family letting them know your gift was given in their honor. We will also print the name of your loved one or friend in a future issue of Command magazine.

Who is the hero you honor?

Use the Hero Wall to tell us about the hero in your life—what makes them special to you? This wall is free to use. Although we encourage donations to the OCF Honor Fund to further the mission of OCF, no donation is required. Instead, this is a place where you can share your story and read others’ stories.

I contributed to honor my classmates (USMA ’65) who were killed in Vietnam. I was at best a cultural Christian during my Vietnam service (1968-69), filled with a vague benevolence and the silly notion that I could probably slip into the afterlife with a low pass…not the rottenest apple in the barrel. I did not know Jesus as the Christ and had no clue of personal salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. As I think back to those fine men and fine soldiers who were killed, I wonder where they were in their faith journeys. Probably not much different than me. And I pray that our Lord will recognize that we "knew not what we did" (to slightly misquote) and be gracious to them…and forgive me my own failings toward them and toward Him.
